The PJR Chino is the first issued trouser from Shoot the Hip, built as a study in preservation, utility, and continuity. Constructed in the United States from 14oz Cone Mills White Oak selvedge denim woven before the mill’s closure, each pair carries the subtle irregularities and texture that only archived materials can provide. The silhouette draws from vintage work trousers and military field uniforms, cut with a relaxed fit, mid rise, and room to move naturally through wear. A pressed front pleat and reversed hem cuff give structure without sacrificing ease. An internal adjustable waist cord allows the garment to adapt over time rather than remain fixed. Built unsanforized, the PJR is intended to shrink and shape to its owner through use. Limited in quantity and made without planned restocks, each pair becomes a record of wear rather than a finished product.
